Factory reference points missing?
I found this diagram here on Pelican that was scanned from a factory manual.
I want to use a tram guage to check and compare the G dimension, but i can't find the rear holes. This is a picture of the left rear where the hole should be. The chassis is a 1974 911S. What am I missing? There are a few smaller 1/4" drain holes in the vicinity. Thanks, Tom |

I'm doing this exact same job and was looking for my, erm, "G-spot" the other day. This is a 1976 911S and I found plastic bungs in those corner positions of the floor pan. When I pulled the plug, the holes were threaded, as below.
Looking at the workshop manual, it looks like these points were only introduced in 1975. ![]() Last edited by Ferrino; 02-09-2017 at 04:27 PM.. |

Thank you Ferrino, that explains why they aren't there. I will use the trans mount holes instead.
Thanks, Tom |
