This is a great thread, the nb car with the CTR front and rear bumpers are growing on me.

Finally have all my parts sorted, waiting on the container from Japan.

Interesting - are those genuine RUF parts? Are you modifying your fenders front and rear?

esonefour 03-26-2014 02:09 PM

Front is genuine rear im sure is a copy, wheels are the heavy first generation speedlines, but for the price I'm happy.
Mirrors are from a Australian company and a little bit bigger than ruf ones.

Still some things at the paint shop but I couldn't help myself :)

Yellowbird Clones

Well, a while back I posted a picture of my car with a Nardi wheel, and most of you agreed that you did not like the "fit" of a wood rimmed wheel in my car. So, I got a Momo as a gift from my wife, and here it is: A lot better. Agreed?
You can also get another look at my "clean" dashboard.

Looking good, looking good. I'm guessing those are re-badged Speedline wheels. Excellent wheels :)

sc_rufctr 08-02-2014 08:20 PM

Pics of a real one for reference. I do love this colour ;)

I tried to make it as close to the original ctr1 "yellow bird" as possible apart from exterior colour and air vents.
Just happy it's all going and on the road, time to do some miles!!

You do have a cool car and and I love that colour.

I've always liked green. Weird I know but there you have it.

My CTR front bumper installed. Rear bumper still has to be modified as I will be changing my exhaust to Zork tube as part of a turbo conversion.

What type of pedal kit are you using, and is it easier to heal and toe than the factory pedal setup? Thanks.

esonefour 08-04-2014 10:42 PM

It's a D-Zug pedal available from pelican, it has adjustable height for heal and toe and just an all round awesome pedal.

Any New Pictures?

Neel 05-11-2015 07:18 AM

Did you have any fitment problems with the rear bumper?? If so could you share the issues?? I'm thinking about installing a Yellow Bird style rear bumper on my '81 SC.. Looking at TRE.. I want to do the job myself, but I don't want any 'surprises'...

daleflesburg 05-11-2015 07:30 AM

fit of rear YB Shell

At least on my car with SC rear flairs, I had to do a lot of fitting. The shell was about an inch too wide on each side at the wheel opening. I could pull it in and bolt it, but it created other problems. It took a lot of fiberglass work (I am glad that I did a lot of it for my 914 dedicated DE car). But the end result is good!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1431358220.jpg
