As suggested by one person, here are the details of my car.

'78SC, Grand Prix White with stock bumpers, and stock rear flares.
I plan to rip off everything, including the bumper shocks, although I heard my EURO model does not have shocks. Then, I'm going to fabricate a set of brackets from aluminum stock using a MIG welder or torch for any welding required.

Although it might be a pipe dream, I'd like parts that require no work. In other words, I want the gaps and lines to fit fine the first time. Drilling and a little trimming for the lights and exhaust tip are OK by me.

I think Pie forgot one more thing to complete his RUF conversion:

The exterior oil door!

Just wondering what everyone is planning for WHEELS for your worthy endeavours? Original RUF (sources?) or aftermarket, what types?

Best of luck to all!

After I buy mine, I'll be poor again for a while. When I do buy whells, they'll be after market wheels. Probably similar to the white car. Anyone smell rice? (this coming from an Asian, haha)

I'm going to use my stock 7&8 (rears may be 9") fuchs. The white car with tinted windows and black center fuchs will have nice contrast, kind of like the RUF above with black rims. I can see a definite performance and cosmetic gain with the RUF bumpers, but I don't see as much value with the aftermarket wheels. However, were I to find a pot of gold, my choice would be the FIKSE FM-10 or a similar style (like the ones on the Cargraphics car).

I'm a little faster this time. Check your e-mails. There are answers and more pictures, but for answers that are still nagging some of you, please read the threads link to on the fist page of this thread (i.e. mounting. KurtB'd threads are good).

Does RUF use a 72 oil door, or is that a custom design?? Do they use a C2 oil tank??

Wow! pwm74, those are great! That black one makes me want to abandon my back to orig. silver plan and good black.

I'm making progress on the group buy info, but I want to get one more MFG before I buy, but the results are encouraging. I'll have the latest info ready for those that contacted me, check the Bat Cave (secret hangout for the CTR World Domination Plot ) guys.

I took the plunge for the PU add for my proj. Here's a pic before and after skin installed. The instructions were a little vague. Thankfully, there was someone local who was very familar with RUF parts and had done this install before. I can say, once we got the parts sorted out, the Ruf cooler and spoiler have great fittment!!!
