Radio block off plate doesn't fit
I just removed my radio and tried to fit the Porsche OEM block off plate. Well it doesn't fit at all. There are two tabs that are supposed to grip inside the hole and they don't. The only way I can see this working is by gluing the plate in. Has any one out there successfully mounted the plate?
thanks!

The grips don't fit..or they don't hold it up tight? I bought the oem plate from PP and it holds just right. It will move around a little if you press on it...78SC

Snitz,
on my '83SC, I trimmed (combination of cutting and fine-sanding) the plate to fit snugly in the opening, and used heat gun to soften and bend the tabs to better grip the backside of the opening. Fits OK after some fiddling. PD |

It's ridiculously overpriced for what it is and I've never seen one fit well without mods. It doesn't look that great even when it's all lined up.
