Who has done a custom gauge set up?

I am looking to add some additional gauges to my 911, but haven't really found any good ideas on how to go about it yet. I want to do something similar to the 935 in the picture below. I saw that pelican has delete plates available, but they're in metal. I was hoping to find or make something that would be more easily cut to allow custom sized gauges to fit into it.

Any ideas?

You can do a lot with acrylic or lexan, cut, shape, paint:

If you are interested in monitoring your 930, some gauges you may want to consider include: AFR, Boost level, cylinder head temp, exhaust temp

Check out the turbo forum and search, I think we have some discussions on various AFR and boost monitors, for example. And someone has exhaust temp and cylinder temp monitors installed.

Oh, knock sensors, too...

Gauge manufacturers can make a gauge to fit your current hole sizes. I had a combination head temp and volt meter with a few warning lights made and used the hole where the useless VDO clock went. I wear a watch and there is another clock in the radio and on my cell phone which is velcro'd to the dash.

It was made by Westach, an aircraft instrument maker. $89 back about ten years ago. They offered one that would monitor all six cylinders but I opted for a single. Attached to the center #2 jug. A ring that sits on the spark plug.

My only custom gauge is adding a volt meter to the tach. It gets rid of the sill shift light that is rather annoying.

And I did convert my temp gauge to have real numbers but that is just swapping the gauge and sender. Super easy to do.

Some cool ideas in here. I'll have to go over to the 930 forum and check out what some of you guys have done.
