Recommendation for engine work in OC, CA

It is a long story, but I have a 3.2 that is in need of a reseal at a minimum. I'm in south OC, and I'm looking for a mechanic. I called AASE motors, but they are backed up for 6 months on engine work. I'd appreciate references.

It's a little bit south of OC, but you should call Henry at Supertech in Fallbrook.

I'm giving Sleepers a shot. Looks like a nice shop, and quick to get the car in. Thanks for the recommendations

I've been very pleased with the guys at Sleepers, as long as they have the time to get you done, they do very good work.

If you don't mind the drive, we highly recommend TRE in Van Nuys and TLG in North Hollywood (no affiliation with either).

Cape auto in So OC handles aircooled pretty well. A bit south but Jae Lee at Mirage is a top recommendation.

I'm getting my engine "breathed on" at Axiom Motorsports in Inglewood.

2nd old thread I've seen in a week that was bumped to plug TRE and TLG. What gives? They are great shops but why necromance to give them a push?

I agree, if they are sponsors, please state so when making the endorsement.

I highly recommend John's Foreign Car in Laguna Niguel. Ask for Russ Graham the owner. He has worked on my air-cooled 911's for the last 30 years. He's a Porsche Factory Trained mechanic and has done hundreds of 911 engine rebuilds for his customers, as well as other Porsche shops.

I just find the new "policy" strange. It's not like the board is lacking in content and activity. But I keep getting into these threads, reading several comments, realizing the date, and then find that an admin dug up an old thread that doesn't really have any special content worthy of revisiting.

If Pelican was actually interested in TLG, they would post a memorial sticky in this forum since Tony, the T in TLG, passed away less than 2 week ago. I haven't asked Marco his plans, but I assume he will keep running the business just like he helped his dad do for the last couple decades. It's a huge loss for the community.

Some Admins have nothing to do, so they simply bump old topics to prove their worth.
