RDM 04-09-2019 11:35 AM

Nice. Will they be at Spa this weekend?

Hellraiser 04-09-2019 11:08 PM

Thanks Dru,

I don't know.. Why do Germans always ship with a *****ty firm like Hermes?
3 packages were sent together last week monday.
So far I only received one seat, still waiting for the sliders, frames and 2nd seat :(

Hellraiser 04-14-2019 11:07 PM

I didn't get to Spa, too much work on saturday.

But the car did get aligned and corner balanced.

And look at those concours-quality window scrapers! ;-)

Just curious- what does the first number on the Belgian license plate signify? I see almost all of them have a 1. You have a 0. What does it mean?

Rodsrsr 04-15-2019 09:53 AM

Looks really nice, however it looks to sit a tad on the high side, mainly in the rear. The only other small detail I can see missing is removing the paint from the underbody oil lines to show the brass. Nice job!

Hellraiser 04-15-2019 11:37 AM

Thanks!
@Dru, actually it's the "O" for Oldtimer
@rodsrsr, yes still have a lot of detailing to do
But slowly we're getting there :)

I second this. The car looks great as an rsr, great body work.

Great pic of your daughter! Well done with the oil lines - looks nice. Looking forward to pics of seat install.

Hellraiser 07-16-2019 10:51 PM

Thanks!

Well the seats are 1973 Recaro IS.LS
They are installed, but I still have to plan a visit to the upholstery shop.

Those seats look great. Maybe give them a really good clean and try a few products on them before you spend money on them.

To do: carpet set and rsr-finish on the fuchs

nathanbs 08-23-2019 07:57 PM

May just be photo angles but I’ve been thinking that the car sits a tiny bit too high. Thoughts?

Hellraiser 08-23-2019 11:31 PM

It could be a little bit lower, but its not a show-car.
It will be mainly for regularity and oldtimer-rallys so
a little bit clearance is a must for me.
Its already lower, but for spirited driving :)

Hellraiser 08-23-2019 11:35 PM

This is from another angle

nathanbs 08-24-2019 06:14 AM

Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t look bad and obviously everything we do is finding that balance between form and function. Looks great, cool build

Hellraiser 08-24-2019 08:55 AM

Thanks http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...s/beerchug.gif

Hellraiser 10-15-2019 01:14 AM

Very nice RSR, congrats! I am from Ghent, let me know if you do some meetings this summer, I am finishing my RSR this winter. Cheers, Nico

Hellraiser 02-03-2020 09:50 AM

Finally got started on the interior.
It will be something between an RSR and full
interior, I will keep the rear seats removable.

The interior 's finished :)

The seats had their bolsters fixed and they received a thorough cleaning.
I wanted to keep them as original as possible

VonHillbilly 03-24-2020 09:31 AM

I'm not the biggest fan of the whole 'backdate' craze in general. But looking at the before and after, you've done that old 911 a tremendous big favor.

Enjoy, it's beautiful.

RDM 03-24-2020 09:48 AM

I can't wait to ride in it!

Hellraiser 03-27-2020 04:20 AM

Thanks :)

@Dru, hope we can leave our houses for non urgent reasons again within a few months..

The project's also on hold now because the upholstery shop is in Holland,
and we're no longer allowed to cross the border to pick it up.
