Installed tail but have a small gap (w pic)

I have a small gap showing on the L & R front corners of my carrera tail and the deck lid. The seal is new, and the mounts seem to have bottomed, so I don't think I can 'pull it down' anymore.

I did a search but wasn't successful in finding anything.
Would anyone know if there is a possibility of my having pinched the bead under the tail - causing this gap? It is difficult for me to tell without having a few more arms handy. The seal is held with adhesive and pop rivets, but there is some play. Am hoping nothing is warped.

Small bump for the weekend crowd.

Tail goes with this deck lid - I had them painted.
I mounted with a new seal but now see evidence of a gap on the L&R leading edges of the sides.
I can slip a thin plastic card in there, bead doesn't seem pinched.
Hardware is drawn down as far as it will go.
Wondering if I should recess the L&R leading edge mounting brackets.

Is there enough flex in the tail in order for it to conform better to the lid (assuming I try bracket relocation)?
Or is this normal - should I layer some gasket material in there?

Any help would be appreciated - thanks.

I seem to recall having something similar when mounting mine. I had to drill new holes in the brackets so they didn't sit as low and contact the deck lid when the bolts cinched up the tail to the lid. Also some trial and error was necessary to find the right length bolt that I could get started but that didn't bottom out.

Thanks - I was wondering about that approach.
Previously, I had worked on those 2 corners as the SMC/fiberglass holes had elongated.
I plugged and re-drilled them, but I will leave them alone and slot the brackets instead.

Let's see a wide angle shot the top of the tail mount edge should be 1" below edge of your lid.

If you have run out of thread on your bolts perhaps a few more washers between the decklid and nut will allow you to pull it further down.

Hi Jim,
Here is a pic, sorry I wasn't 'square' to the car when I took it.
I am 1.125" edge to edge (not bead) in the center, so I will see what repositioning will do. This measurement gets slightly larger btw (maybe another 1/8th) , as I move out to the left or right.
Thanks

Hi Doug,
I haven't run out of thread actually, and the bolts are correct. But I do appreciate the input.

What I do wonder about is the black angle brackets - they've bottomed out and are pulled tightly down against the deck lid mounting points.

I was thinking of slightly slotting the 2 holes on the outside brackets where they mate to the spoiler rib. My goal (or theory) is that I could then 'recess' ('up' in the picture) them a little more (pic with imprecise mark-up), and maybe that would allow me to pull the spoiler down a bit farther.

You are on the right track. However, rather than slotting, just drill two new holes just below the existing ones. If you slot you will be relying on friction to keep the tail cinched to the deck lid. I've done this and it works.

A couple more pics - the trailing edge sits nice and tight.
I can just about insert a biz card in there.
But you can see the difference as I move forward.
