SC Running Warm - not what you think.
The last couple days I noticed my oil temp was climbing higher than usual. My engine has always stayed at the first tick mark (190 degs) or thereabouts. Yesterday it came close to the second tick mark (almost 250 degs).
I started searching last night for things to check. I had already confirmed the fender loop was hot. That's an easy one. Today I took a look at the engine and... ![]() Yes. That's a gross mouse nest made of insulation on cylinders 2 & 3. I'm lucky I didn't have an engine fire. I pulled the fan and cleaned it all out today. How do I stop this from happening again. I have been having a losing battle with mice. So far this, eaten speaker wires, eaten vacuum hose, mouse poop. Help!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got to get rid of the food source or seal it away. The wire thing, I surmise that is like crack for mice.

On the bright side you paid attention to your oil temp and skirted disaster.
https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/tomcat-rat-and-mouse-place-pacs-22-piece-pail-3-oz-each Just lay them under the Porsche or near suspect entry points. Maybe try some of those sticky mouse catchers to assess the depth of your problem. If you catch one every other night and it does not thin out over time, go big guns.

I think it's more really good shelter first and if there's wires there, hellz yes. We can knaw.
Lost a $1,200 pool heater that way. (The heater was fine, replacing the mother board and such was 2/3rds the cost of new)

I've had good luck with the jaw-type traps and peanut butter for bait. Keep a couple loaded up near the car. Mice are stupid, you can catch them all. Rats, on the other hand, are much more difficult.

Banned but not out, yet..

If you park in a locked garage, keep both your hood and fronk open. Also keep your heater vents closed. Mice like dark hidden places.
