Never in my life did I expect such a response.
I always thought I was the loud mouthed, sarcastic, over-opinionated idiot who continually posts threads containing 911's ran over by Sherman tanks, tire-crazy Michelin Man going Bazerk at the racetrack or the highly modified Pimpster.

I've had such a good time on this board and as a member of this community.
I will have another toy car sooner or later. And I'd really like that car to be a 911.

It is true that I do have a pair of cars at my disposal that could also go onto the auction block. But, in all honesty, I'd only sell these cars if I thought my family would be on the street. They were gifts from my father and I will never part with those memories without selling a kidney first.
Thank you all so very much for being such good friends.
You all have been such good friends. And that is rare in life, let alone the internet.

I am not leaving the board. I'll still be here to harrass Carrera owners when they get a little too cocky.

Take care,

Everytime I read about someone selling something that means a lot to them due to other life circumstances they are encountering...it always makes me think of the day my husband sold his beloved V-Max motorcycle (yes...we were newly married, in our new house, he was not riding it as much, and ....yep, we needed the money). It was his idea and decision, but he had tears in his eyes when the guy drove it away...and he said...i'll have another motorcycle someday...and I believed him. Well the porsche found its way into our lives before another cycle...But I know he'll have one again.

So Leland...I know you guys are going to start your marriage off as strong as possible and a porsche will find it's way back to you in no time!

Take care~

To quote David St.Hubbins: "Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation, but still in all, I mean you've got to be realistic about this sort of thing, you know.... "

see, we're all stinkin' drunk. And you know how sappy people get when they're liquored up... :D

Tis this way when all good things close. We miss the parts that were important and replace them with new and magical wonders. In this way you take your wife and give your car to a new home. A very honorable gesture and one I am sure done in love.

Don't be a stranger, because the Carrera folks need that occasional one upmanship.

I haven't read the many pages of this thread so I hope this statement isn't beating a dead horse:

You don't have to quit the club just cause you sold the car.

Cars come and go, the passion and the personalities make the experience.

Don't be a twit. Stick around, this play need all the characters it can get.
