Dunkel's pictures

Actually just a tease, while I try to find disk space to host it on.

I just came back - what a great show. Did you make it into Dunkel's "Museum"? Man, what a testament to having your business fund your hobbies! I'll look through my snaps and see if anything is worth posting.

Here is just a couple - the numbers and quality of the cars there was just overwhelming:

This was certainly a "Super Carrera"

One day, my garage will have this - an early 70's lightweight 911 and a matching late 993 2S.

Here's a link to my other shots. Wayne was out taking hundreds of photos which will give a much better idea of the size of the event, I'm sure they will be up here on the board later today.

Man, I wish I had been there. Much better than the snow here in Ohio.

Just returned myself. It was huge. Must have been 20% more cars there than last year. The R Gruppe area was a highlight. The 912 and 356 registrys had a great turnout. All in all, the best. Hats off to the Dunkel's

I wore my Pelican badge, not one person came up and said hello. It was so crowded that I don't you could find anyone if you didn't come with them or had their cell no. Very few 911s for sale. I'm already looking forward to next year, I'll likely have an early car by then and need a ton of the stuff they had at the swap meet. As it was, I brought home stuff for my race car (and left all my money there).

Ten bucks a pop to get in for the first time. They said it was for charity. One of the staff (in yellow Dunkel shirts) was explaining to one of the guests that it cost Peter Dunkel $50,000 to put the show one. If you count the labor to put the cars on the elevated stands, the round tables and the 356 buried in the "mine shaft," along with the "old town" building, I believe it. Last year they had a car hanging in a big tree.

I hear you - my eyes were fixated on cars and parts. Did you guys make it into the lobby museum?

For the cause/donation, it was worth it to park on the grass. My 87 was out there in left field (plates say "Das Zoom"), though compared to the RGruppe, 912 and 356's, it was just another Porsche...

What a great day! I'm headed off to the beach!

Thumbs up

Boy I feel lucky to be just an hours drive from that event.
Where else do you see that many Spyders? there where 3 parked just down from my car in the Porsche only parking and more inside. You name it they were there. Did you guys see the old red Speedster on the lawn down at the end, it was great had all its years of patina intact, maybe somebody got it's pic.
A Great Day

I was looking through the pictures and this one caught my eye. What kind of headlights are those? They don't look like the normal H4's or H1's
