Clutch helper spring help

78 911 SC that is getting a new clutch, pressure plate, pedal bushings etc. I have installed the new seals in the clutch throw out arm but am not sure how the omega springs is installed. In the attached picture, does the end of the spring go behind that tab? That would put some tension on it but it seems like that is how it should go. I can't find a photo of an stalked in from Thai view. Help is appreciated

When the arm is at rest, that pin with the circlip rests against the other side of that downward facing metal tab. The long arm is not installed until the trans is mated with the engine and the release fork is engaged with the throwout bearing, but you knew that.

Thanks so much. I am assuming by the long arm, you mean the short arm that is knurled and is held in by the circling.

I got the spring installed and now on to mating transmission and engine. I can get the two within about 1/2 inch but then no joy. I have used an alignment tool to center the clutch disk and used an inspection camera to ensure that the throw out fork is in the right spot of the throw out bearing. The pressure plate and throw out bearing are brand new. Thoughts or ideas welcomed.

Bent fork. Looks like it. I can slide the throw out bearing all the way in and the fork all the way in but not as an assembly

They tend to crack before bending. Also, where's the grease on the guide tube and inside the t/o bearing? By "long arm", I mean the long arm, with that horseshoe spring, not the short, splined one.

The opening on the fork new is 75mm Defective from misalignment becomes a not so noticeable 80 mm.
