White Lettering Tires
Suspension and wheels are next. I am contemplating if i should get white lettering tires on my Toyos R888's. Don't hold back on feed back. |

it's your car--do what pleases you.
BUT SINCE YOU ASKED----I vote no. On the street, the only cars I see with white lettering on the tires are typically boy-driven american "muscle" cars, e.g., chargers, challengers, mustangs. Aside from the juvenile connotation of the white lettering (keep in mind, i'm not some old jeezard, i'm 27), your car doesn't have any white accents. By all accounts, it looks murdered out. The white lettering won't really go with the car. my 2 cents

Do it in chalk; looks good, use paint, if not wash it off.

Way back in the 70's...
One of the car mags once opined, when asked about big white lettered Tars
Well, if you are feeling a bit loose in the jock strap area, you could always add big white letters. Another correlary, "if it don,t go, chrome it". Crape, I,m getting synickle in my olde age Chris |

I spotted this Targa with the white letter tires over the weekend. Not a fan of the look.

I would say no as well. If you didn't have the red Carrera script, I'd say go for it. Id be afraid the white letters would clash with the red over an all Black car.

I understand why it can be tempting... I found myself looking into them for my 964 at one point because I fell in love with the black AMMO 964. It would look neat, and add something to a black tire and black wheel, but keep it looking fresh like it is--not cluttered. And it wouldn't go well with the red, like aread said above.
However, it is your car. If you want to run them for a while, definitely do so and give it a try! They are stickers, and can be removed down the line. |

If you get wheels that aren't black, maybe you won't feel like you need white letters on the tires?
I personally don't care for the big giant white letters

How about red lip/bead on those wheels to match the side script?

It is your car, do to it whatever you want. Since you are asking for opinions, yuck would be my take on white letters.
My day driver is a 1986 El Camino. All the tires I have put on it have always had whitewalls and raised white letters, that I tell the tire shop, mount those on the inside. There is only two manufacturers for the tire size I need so I am stuck. I just accept the fact the tires are made that way and it is an easy fix to mount the tires with the white to the inside.
