WiFi Borescope...do eet!
I recently added a WiFi borescope to my toolbox and it has really come in handy. You can find them on Ebay or Amazon for about $25-35 and it will work with most iPhones and Android smartphones. It is well worth the price for laying eyeballs on hard-to-reach areas. I don't know what took me so long to discover this device. If you don't already have one, pick one up and have fun.

It won't work on my android. Not compatible. I wasted my money.

Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for pointing out. I had only seen the ones with a built-in screen before, Mine works great with both iphone 6, and iPad Air2.

I just bought this one for several projects as it came highly recommended on a plane forum:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GY7C9ZW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The thing a like about it is the ability to turn the camera back towards you. I just used to it run wiring in a wall at my nephew's place. It as great to see what was behind the wall before cutting in. It hooked it up to my Android phone and I downloaded camerafi. Worked like a charm. Snap stills or video - easy. Adjustable LED lighting at the end. |

Which one did you get? The two I've used have trouble focusing at close distances, and that's...a bummer.
Make sure you get one with a stiff or stiffish cable. Floppy cables make these things nearly impossible to snake through cars. With the rate at which cable connectors change (at least for iPhones), I'd go with a wifi or bluetooth one... Last edited by Tremelune; 09-18-2017 at 11:07 AM.. |

For those using Android, just plug the USB cable directly into the phone. You don't actually require the wifi module as needed with IPhone.
