Widebody 911 rear wheels
On a 911 with 930 flares front and rear, what 17" rear Fuchs copies will give it 'the look' when combined with 7x16 OE Fuchs on the front? The look of 11x17 with 315's is great; what brand and ET will work on the rear (with reasonable spacers) to get there? Rear OE 9x16 don't have enough tire choices.
Yes, I have done a forum search but still not satisfied ..... Steve |

Your best bet is to check with Fikse or Braid. I believe they offer 11" rear Fuchs reps. With the right offset, you should be able to run without spacers. Good luck.

IMO to get "the look", you are going to have to go to something like a 17 x9 in the front to match those rears you have in mind.

Probably seen these pics before, I run 9x16 front 12.75x17 rear on a 930. Tires are 245/45-16 and 315/35-17.
Ran 9x16 and 12x17 on a widebody SC, same tires. 9x16 are stock 930 rears, they will bolt on to the SC front hubs with no spacers. ![]()

Too bad Euromeister doesn't make 11's. Braid wants $1100 each; not in the budget. Not a track car.

I had my front 7" Euromeisters widened to 9". I'm sure you could do the same to rears.

Hey Hey Hey - for a track car - wheels should be exactly where you are spending money. Personally -= I have broken two wheels at the track that were sub standard... I can tell you first hand - this is not an area you want to scrimp...

There may be a reason why some manufactures don't make 11 or 12 inch wide wheels. BTW no one has mentioned Lindsey's wheels. Might be worth a look.

With 315's, any kind of "spirited driving" in a CCW direction allows the sidewall flex to contact the oil lines without proper offset.
I'd buy CCW wheels, in the future you can just change barrels and go to 18's where all the nice sizes exist

STR Carrera: WIDE front wheels Part 2 Not noted in that post is that per Weldcraft's suggestion I painted both the inside and outside of the barrel, acid etching primer followed with flat black. Car has seen 100s of autocross runs and a track day on them, ymmv. It was a little bit tough dismounting / mounting tires as they have to pop over both new weld beads.

7s and 9s will fit on a regularly-flared Carrera. On a widebody, they're going to look a little skinny -- at least by contemporary standards. 9s and 11s are probably what you want.
Granted, I'm biased. But I have 9-1/2x11x17 Lindsey Racing Fuchs. ![]()

I have OE 9 x 16's on the back of my 930 and I exchanged the stock 28 mm spacers for 50 mm adapters, the look is much better. But, what could be done with 9 x 17's on the back of the wide SC without using huge spacers?

for a 9 to fill a wheel well like an 11ET-8 it would need to be a 9 ET-33 ie a stock 9ET15 w/ a 48mm spacer w/b 911 really want a 8 to 9" front and 10 to 12" rear
