Change in server settings, does it seem faster?

I ran a tuning 'wizard' on the server that suggested I make a few more changes to things like TCP/IP buffers, etc.

Anyone notice a difference? I think I do...

Never noticed, I always thought it was quite fast!
BTW, thanks for the great board, I've learned and continue to learn lots!
Regards,
Gary.

it seems quicker this morning, but I am on a 300kbs connection. It loads so quick that I don't even see the images load, they are there as fast as the page comes up. Nice!

It's actually rendering pages when I think about them, before I even click on 'em!

Amazing what can be done with TCP/IP/ESP.

I've noticed that it's gotten better as well.. but what's the server load like right now?..I think 11 est is fairly light time for server loading

All you need now is a few more people on the phones there so I'm not stuck on indefinite hold...20+ minutes one day...

We've hired a bunch of people, and we're getting a new ACD phone system on Monday. No one waits on hold for that long, unless there is a problem with the phone system (which we have been having lately). Sorry about that - it's a technology breakdown, and I'm working hard to fix it. This new phone system has cost us BIG BUCKS (much more than this BBS server) - I hope it's worth it...

-Wayne

P.S. For those who are in the know, we upgraded to a Fiber MICS unit with dual NAMs running NVM 4.04E and Prelude - each on their own NAM.

It is faster, I thought I was imagining things until I saw this thread.

You rock, Wayne.

Wayne ACD is the best system i,ve seen around and i programmed pabx,s for 3 years. Be sure to tune it weekly in the beginning and you will have a system that will work for you. The afterworktimes are very imporatant in an ACD Wayne we give them 1 minute for that on my job. Good luck with it
