What is this part and where to get one?
Hi Guys. One of the cloth covered crimped hose ends on the brass line is cracked. What is this vacuum line called and where on earth can I source anew one? Can't find it on line anywhere. 82SC. I assume no options to repair? Thanks.

Cut the crimp collar off and use a new hose and 2 clamps.

In the parts catalog "PET" for model years 78-83 illustration 107-15 items 19 through 21.
And yes. The cost effective way to replace the hoses is to cut the crimps off and install new hoses with clamps. One hose has different sizes at each end, so you will either need to stretch or compress or a combo to get a straight replacement section installed. |

If you are going to follow the advice to cut the crimps off, make sure you use NORMA ring clamps (which are already shown in the photo you offered) which put even pressure/clamping around the hose. The worm-gear slotted clamps found in most auto parts stores do not apply even pressure and can 'injure' the hose, and if fuel is involved, that's never a good thing. JMHO.

You can order that part 93011032800 from Porsche in Germany but it's $211. I'd just do what Mr. Walker says.

These are the lines to the vacuum brake booster, so the shouldn't be any fuel involved.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was able to locate a couple of used ones and will check them out next week to see if the hoses are in good shape. If so I'll go used. If not I'll go with JW's suggestion. Not up for paying $200+ For a new one. Already spent close to $1000 on new air of and other CIS stuff to eliminate all leaks.

![]() ![]() Seems to me I replaced the short section of hose on one of these a while back. Including the crimp sleeve it was about $50 plus shipping. If interested, I will look back to my notes and confirm. Len ![]() PS - Don't forget, e-mail ONLY. |
