1970 911T and intro thread
Good morning troops,
My name is Rick and I'm located in Southern Ontario, Canada. This is 1970 911 that I know nothing about but will be starting the restoration :) As delivered to the shop, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psjmzoyudv.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...pszlarnwdm.jpg It had spent the last 34 years in a barn with serious engine issues. Not sure of the extent but we'll strip it down and figure it out. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psphjnibsm.jpg And a box load of stuff, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...pszxd1e1an.jpg This should be a fun project! cheers |
Nice color. Have fun. I also have a 70T.Any clue as to why it's apart. Welcome to the club and forum.

Well we got the car pretty much stripped and started on the structural welding. ALL of the rust issues in this car were due to mice nesting in the cavities.
http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psn0n2eq0d.jpg Some rust under the left torsion bar mount, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psymzgjg9i.jpg Some surface rust on the floor pans but overall it's real solid, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psdde3s424.jpg Another spot was right behind the left front tire, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...pslerk0nwr.jpg Removing all the rot and getting ready for the patch, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...pskpzemjrc.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psu73dqsu1.jpg Luggage compartment had some surface rust as well, but it cleaned up real nice, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psdkp8bvh2.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...pssvhaaqwz.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psxex3z6k2.jpg More pics coming soon! cheers |
Started our day with a little cook out lol. Burning the rear bushings from the arms ;)
http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psfpyylo7b.jpg More stuff added to the front compartment, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psrutxjket.jpg The whole underside is restored, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...psrwdselgq.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps9vp2y5sl.jpg All the suspension parts were sand blasted and epoxied, going to install all new bushings, http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps8tiaxfbg.jpg http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps5d9gsw9m.jpg cheers |
Let the games begin, starting to install all the suspension and brakes on the T.

That is very nice indeed.
I used to live in South Ontario. At least I told people I lived in South Canada... It was actually Watertown, NY |
Nice. You don't see many Pastel Blue 911's. And nice work, BTW.
