The other Cannucks may be flying. Im only an 8 hour drive and by the time I clear security, covid checks and actually get in the air, flying and driving are almost the same time and I avoid the metal petri dish. Was looking forward to the drive as Id planned a loop down into MD to visit some relatives.

We have about 2 weeks to go before we start the first group. I am preparing the room and delivering the motors, tools, chairs and tables, etc. Looking forward to meet everyone in person. Have a pleasant and safe travel.

Hi Tony,
Not to throw a stick in the spokes, but is it possible to find out if all the participants in the 9/9-9-10 class have had their covid shots. I've got two daughters both pregnant, that I would like to come home to without the worry about catching the virus from one of the less educated participants.
I have had both my shots for the record. Let me know if there is a way to canvas the group.

Mal,

I have to ask all the participants to sign a waiver regarding Covid-19 before we start the sessions. I will not be responsible if any of the participants got Covid-19 during the time in 19401. If there is anyone more at risk would be me because I will be meeting and spending 2 full days with everyone.

If you feel strongly about exposure to Covid-19, I strongly suggest that you stay home and avoid contact with other people. Both me and my wife have taken the vaccinations for Covid-19 and have attended several social gatherings in the past months.

The website has not been updated. I e-mailed the event organizer and he confirmed it is a "GO" for Sat, 18 Sept at Ski Roundtop. There is a thread I found on the forums also confirming the event. It has been a few years since I attended, but have bought and sold some good stuff in the past.

There is ample space for parking even if all the participants come with their RV’s. But only 2 handicapped parking spots. And my wife will take one spot. See you guys in a few days. Don’t for get to read Wayne’s Engine Rebuilding Book or take it with you.

With all the flooding, are things okay where you are? Are the classes still on?

There were places in neighboring towns that were flooded caused by the torrential rain brought by Ida. So far the venue is high and dry. I would be the first person to worry if it would not be safe for everyone to come.

BTW, I would like to give thanks to Kevin McDonald for helping me bring the two (2) motors to the venue. Without his assistance, I would not be able to deliver them to the site. The work involve is too strenuous for me doing it myself. We were both soaked in the rain.

But the joy and satisfaction I get from having this undertaking is priceless. See you guys soon. And travel safe.

I will be there before 8:00 AM to open Suite D and wait for the first group to arrive. The regular schedule is 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Lunch break for 1-hour. We resume by 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. You can stay longer as most people did last time. The next day starts the same schedule. Two (2) days are not long enough to cover the subjects in details.

There are several good places to go for lunch nearby. Or buy your take out lunch and have it in the class room. I encourage people to come dressed in their work clothes and participate in the class activities. Blue jeans and t-shirts and sneakers are ideal.

Anyone want my spot for Sepember20-21, it’s there for the asking. US border not yet open to fully vaccinated Canadians at land crossings. Go figure!
