I am now working on making a blower shroud that will fully encompass both PFC's and hose fittings and completion then marketing here on Pelican Parts
The completed assembly including a high CFM blower will fit in an early model 911 Wheel Well I have not decided yet if I will provide the blower or give a choice to let you provide it; as I am still developing the shroud |

FACT The early model 911 NEVER HAD ENOUGH CONDENSER SURFACE AREA in the body to make cold, this was the problem why it never achieved normal 54 degrees A/C cooling @ 95 degrees ambient. With Tube and Fin technology in the 60s - 80s.
Now in 2018 A/C state of the art PFC technology has really taken off to make extremely efficient condenser heat exchangers and A/C systems; what could not be done earlier in time now is possible FACT These new Dual PFC heat exchanger prototypes meet or exceed todays current Porcshe 911 PFC's SURFACE AREA! |
My interest is purely academic but I would like to see pictures of the step-by-step installation, the completed installation, and evidence of AC vent temperatures before deciding if this is a solution.
I guess you are excited about your development, as you should be, but posting a pic of a PFC without dimensions or a diagram/pictures of the shroud/ducting/blower, leaves too many unanswered questions to breach the gap between theoretical and practical and, therefore, answer your initial question. |
The Prototype's Have not been tested yet, I am not giving any public dimensions to anyone unless they sign a Notarized Legal Binding Nondisclosure Form and they are an Approved Tester or Purchaser End User @ Pelican Parts.
However tomorrow I will post pictures of a mock up that contains the dimensions & proves it will fit inside the 911 WheelWell including the Duel PFC's, Shroud and a 1000 or so CFM Blower; Note: if you look at the prototypes I posted you can see where mounting support brackets can be attached to several bracket attachment bolt holes, etc. Note the mock-up is actually bigger outside general dimensions than the actual Prototypes i.e. point by point widths, and without any installation brackets |

I come around about once a month and even I can say this is getting old. Every time I scan the first page there is that guy promising his PFC is going to solve all the world's problems.

The Dual PFC will go into the the Drivers Side Wheel Well
This is an install dimensions mock-up that proves it will nicely fit the wheel well and shows body clearances with sufficent room for good heat exchange air flow
In theses pictures, you are looking at the drivers side wheel well looking aft toward the back engine deck Lid for a point of reference. I really like your work. You must realize however, that Porsche used the front fender for their condenser starting with the 964. Charlie Griffiths has been using the rear quarter panel location for years as well. There isn't much that doesn't copy something else. Dave |
So you claim you made some uber-fantastic condensers and for a "mock up" you show a cardboard box in a fender well and a screen grab picture of a fan taken from somewhere on the internet?
I don't get it... |
