Intermittent wiper switch help

Any suggestion on how to install a replacement for broken intermittent wiper knob? Just received a replacement from Ebay.

Pull the clock if you can get your hand through the opening, or the speedo, so you can disconnect the wiring. Grab the wire from the back with a hemostat or something to keep it from escaping into the abyss. I bet the black plastic top just pops off and has a ring style nut to tighten.

When you remove any instrument, make a diagram of which colored wire goes where.
