Engine Serial Number

Does anyone have Brett Johnson's book or whatever is required to look up the following engine-- 901.106.101.5R--and tell me what it is? I know it's a 2.7, but which one?

Many thanks.

that number looks as if it came off the fan housing. look on the right side of the motor behind the oil sending unit next to the fan housing. this should tell you what you have. there are 2 different numbers back there...

You're right. It's from the fan housing, which is the engine serial number, not the type number. The seller mentioned it was from the fan housing, and I just forgot about the distinction. I'll see if I can get the type number. If I do, are you able to look it up?

Many thanks.

Slammed1000 is right. That number is neither the engine serial number or "type" number. It is the part number for the fan housing itself. The engine number will be on the right side of the housing, as previously mentioned. It should be 7 digits long, begining with the number 6. The engine type number should appear as 911/93, 911/43, 911/83, 911/82, 911/85, etc.
