Setting dwell: possible without dwell meter?
Watching "Horsepower TV" yesterday, and they showed a technique for drilling a hole in a spare distributor cap under the #1 wire, then using the timing light to make sure the rotor lined up when firing.
Is this what I've heard referred to as setting dwell? I've heard a dwell meter is the only way to reliably set this - could this be a simple and inexpensive alternative? -Boyo

It's also called setting the points, should you have such archaic devices, which I see by your sig you do.
