Setting Points on a 72 2.4

Do I only need to set the Gap on points?

Or do I need to use a dwell meter?

I was going to keep timing where it is, as it was just set but I would like to replace my points.

Will I notice a difference with new points?

carefull with the dwell meter. the cd box willl be damaged if you hook up wrong. i just set mine with a feeler and go on.
