Question Am I missing something?

Hello,

I bought a non-running 912E, and am in the process of rebuilding the engine. There are two holes in the bell-housing where I think there should probably be plugs or something. I've attached a picture.

Since I've never worked on one of these engines, I was hoping that someone else who has could help me out here. Are these holes normally left open?

Thanks

The big hole is so you can remove the Flex plate on a Auto. trans, the other is for a pickup sensor that was not used on a 912e. Check ypur oil galley plugs as they have a habit of poping out.Steve
