Hello,
I bought a non-running 912E, and am in the process of rebuilding the engine. There are two holes in the bell-housing where I think there should probably be plugs or something. I've attached a picture. Since I've never worked on one of these engines, I was hoping that someone else who has could help me out here. Are these holes normally left open? Thanks ![]() |

The big hole is so you can remove the Flex plate on a Auto. trans, the other is for a pickup sensor that was not used on a 912e. Check ypur oil galley plugs as they have a habit of poping out.Steve
