912e's Rule
I gotta say pelican people are the best. I had a great weekend in the Los Angels area . I would like to show my gratitude to Coldbass for being such a great guy for letting me experience his 912e. I think the shet grin on my face was enough to let him know, that his 912e kicks!!! Pictures say a lot.
Front view of the 912e...It left me speechless great car Custom Tip on the muffler as per Coldbass's request...what did I think? Mine will have it coated muffler, adds a great touch and keeps temps down.. coated exchangers, look great and keep temps down... Snuggy Recaro's, let me tell you these seats keep you in place when the road gets twisty..I would recommend them.. who says the 912e engine can't be a thing of beauty? A drive on the 710, the "E" had more then enough passing power.. The sticker says it all..Rich the mechanic was very nice and very helpful, even though he was busy he took the time to talk to me, has some tricks to get the type 4 running very torquey!!!! Very highly recommended, if you want a trust worthily mechanic and some tricks on your type 4, Porsche engines, Mercedes, he's the guy to go too… Finale impressions of Coldbass's 912"E", the car is the shet, who the hell says 912"E" are slow? They need to drive Coldbass's 912"E"and see what a high reving type 4 is all about. Torque through out all gears and no wimping out in the highs either, low-middle-high the powers all there......I still have a shet grin on my face from the drive.....Coldbass thanks for all you've done and thanks for the wheels...Can't wait to make the trip for the pickup of mine...

Hey Dude,
After a many months of emails and phonecalls, glad to have finally met you. It was cool driving and yakking about our cars. I am very pleased with the performance on this last build. Best of all, I legitimately pass CA State Emissions Requirements and also have the performance that I am very happy with...at least for now.

Yes after months of saying I would head down I finally made it ..Glad I did also... Dont you need to fix the height first and worry about the power later?
Don't forget to email me your specs on the engine, I forgot I have 2000 mb mail account more then enough to handle the big file...

Discussed the height with Rich yesterday. Gonna leave things as is. With me sitting in the car, 24.25-33" off finished floor.
I dont think that we can squeeze anymore power and still remain smog worthy (legitimately)... with those 15s, you can probably go slightly lower than me...

Hmmm lower? I may do the Euro height, something about it being to close to the ground and speedbumps has me thinking
