Here's the skinny:
I've got a 912 engine that runs about 1/2 hour, then coughs and dies. The first time I found the starter wire to the voltage regulator undone (go figure). Fitted it and crimped it. It would turn over but wouldn't start. Took it to mechanic and he put a new coil in. Two days later, same thing. Put a new electronic sensor in and got it running. Then needed to get jumped at the car wash; same thing. Got AAA and went to 1/2 hour to coffee...dies. But after a walk and coffee starts up and goes. What the...? Anyone? |

Have you checked the wire mesh filter in the bottom of the fuel tank to see if it is getting clogged with rust flakes from the inside of the tank?

What distributor are you using? The .050's have a history of intermittent rotor issues (when it heats up)...?which could mimic what you are experiencing.
