Yup. Just because you can't run the full-on DME doesn't mean you can't use the "hard parts", manifolds, throttle body, etc.
Regardless, it should be a wicked fun motor in that 914! The sound of six hungry throats screaming right behind your head is... Amazing. --DD

Hi Wayne, now THATS a project! I noticed that you intend to -shim- the cylinders to lower the 10.5:1 compression. Rememebr i have those 2.2 / 10.5:1 JEs? Can i do the same? Shim the cylinders? Isnt there a timing chain issue doing this?
