Where is it going to be and at what time, cause I'm in. My 914 is running but I don't have insurance for it. I'm going to get some soon though. The event is the Porsche Parade the week of June 21st. I'm going to go that Monday for the Concours d'elegance and take TONS of pictures. I wish i could take the 914, If I can get the insurance by then, hopefully.

Hey, how many of you will have your 914's ready to go by June 22nd. If no one is actually entered in the parade how about we just go for the Concours d'Elegance and caravan over. Mine will be ready to drive by then and I would love to take it out to Tampa. How cool would that be to have like half a dozen 914's caravanning down I-4. Also how many of you are involved with the PCA CLub here, I just registered, so I'm new and will be at the next meeting (hopefully w/ my car). I'm sure they will discuss this at the meeting.

Mine has a pulse, but I don't know if I'm going to enter it in the Parade. Guess I'm just self-conscious about it not being THE best 914 in Tampa; better examples out there.

Heck, who knows, I might shove it all aside and drive it around the Parade anyway; after all, she does right by me.

I just visited the Parade website and found out they are also visiting the Collier Museum in Naples. Features the largest collection of Porsche race cars outside of Stuttgart. There was a flat 12 twin turbo race motor in a display case! Man, I felt like I should kneel or something! They even have a 914-6 (916?) LeMans car! My personal fave was the aluminum bodied VW beetle with the flat fan 4 cam Carerra motor in it! I am sooooo there!

Note that Parade is almost always booked full. You can show up and watch, but in general you won't be able to participate. It is planned way in advance, and there doesn't seem to be much if any room for walk-ins. It's also quite expensive, as it is a full week-long event.

How about June 14th, Saturday around lunch time (12:00 noon) in Orlando Florida. There is a large shopping plaza with lots of restaurants near the 408 (East West Expressway) and Alafaya.

I'll pick one of the restaurants (Smokey Bones, TGIFridays, Johnny Rockets, Hooters about a mile away). Or by popular vote.
