I have a Bosch #022 093 023 - 50 amp in my '73 914 and a Bosch#022 093 022 - 55 amp as a spare. The first one came with the car when I got it, the other was in a parts car I bought. I believe either one will work but you may need to change voltage regulators? Anyone know for sure?

Those are the VW part numbers, not Bosch.

Any VR that will plug in should work just fine.
