Trailing arm help

I just became the owner of a 1974 914. In order to move on with this project,I really need some answers.
The right (passenger side) rear trailing arm mount ( closest to the engine) is all but rusted away. There is some stucture there to work with to weld up anew one. It seems to me that this could likely be a common problem. Most other typical problems are present. Also any direction towards parts vendors would help.
Thanks

I think Pelican Parts sells the console but if not Restoration Design makes and sells them.
Common problem? no, not unless the rest of the long is rusted out too.
How's the battery tray and support, outer long, jack points?
Geoff

Crawl around in the "chassis and sheetmetal" section of Pelican's on-line catalog for a while.

The kind of damage you are talking about renders the car a "parts car" out here in CA. It's different in the Rust Belt, but... I hope you like welding!
