like 360 to have em polished, 40 or so to have the lugs chromed and about 100 for round trip shipping. And then I bought new center caps for 75 so....oh and two new tires for 130

Incredible. When i got mine from Al they were almost too pretty to put on the car, I'd say yours fit the same bill. Kind of like Car jewelry. I hate to admit it but they look better than the 2 liter fuchs to me.
Can't wait to see them on the car.
I hope you have locking lugs or keep the car in a safe place, those look so good they might turn up missing if you leave em out too much.

BTW, that price seems higher than he would charge for fuchs, looks like there is a lot more hand polishing on the perdrinis with the ribs and all.
I got my 911 fuchs polished last year for $50 each. Rumor has it that he got so swamped lately with Porsche wheels he had to raise his prices. This might be reflected in your cost. he's still cheap tho.

Sean.. I believe Al Reed is in Anaheim... short road trip for you Cali dudes..

Sammy.. when you had yours polished, did you have to strip the anodizing etc or did Al take care of all of that? I have some black SC Fuchs that I'd like to transform into black w/polished spokes/rims. I've already started the stripping but am afraid of the polishing...

When I dropped mine off (his shop is a couple miles from my house) they were stock, anodized dull silver on the lip and black centers. he stripped all the paint and anodization, polished the lip and pedals, then repainted the backgrouond. came out just about perfect. I looked em over really close and still haven't found a flaw at all.
He charged me $50 each but that price is reportedly higher now.
He took care of everything, all I had to do was write the check.
I've polished wheels before, no way would I ever do it again with a guy like Al Reed around.

On mine I just hit them with a little aluminium polish once in a while to keep em pretty, about every time i wash the car I spend 5 minutes total on the wheels.
I use wenol blue, works good. Pelican sells it, I can't say it's any better than mothers except maybe it protects a little better.
BTW, I use McGuire's car detail spray on the wheels too and it works slick. Just a little spritz and wipe keeps them clean and shiny in between polishes.

Holy Toledo, someone cheaper than Sammy!

Finally!

I'll bet your machine slaves were happy that day.

Those are some crazy looking wheels!

Hey Sammy: my girlfriend just caught me making engine sound effects to the driving gear shifting bannanna. He must be fast since he is yellow and never runs out of gears

the pedrinis are a rough cast so he had to machine everything before he could polish. He offered to polish the highlights and black powdercoat everything else and then clear over all of it for $75 a wheel but my car's gonna be black and I won't have very much other shiny stuff on it so I wanted em to be as shiny as possible.
