not to brag or anything...

but who else has had their 914 be used in someone's wedding?

All the bridesmaids arrived to the wedding site in classic cars, mine was substituted at the last minute when the 67 Mustang Fastback that was supposed to be used developed clutch issues. The Rolls is a 69, and not shown is a 1970 MGB.

The downside (for me) was that the girls drove the car around all day with the parking brake half on and boiled the brakes at one point. I had to bleed the whole system before I could drive back home again.

Im pretty sure my mom had a 914 when my parents where married.. I remember seeing a pic of her getting out of the car with a white dress on.. It was her second car.. her first was a 64.5 mustang.. Its fun, because I know she likes my car alot more than my dads 951!

Jared:

Was their enough room for the bride, groom, and priest in the 914?

The real challenge would be to consummate a marriage in a 914. Perhaps an area best left to contortionists...

There are many ways to, uh, have fun in/on/around in a 914.... Just get creative.

Until now I could not explain what a PO had done to cause all the little dents in my rear trunk lid... acceptable and justifiable damage and I will take back the bad words I may have used while sanding the filler.

I used my 914 for my wedding. Let the bridesmaids show
up on the back of a haywagon for all I care.

Yes, it was very possible when I was 18 and my 914 didn't have a center console.
The car saw quite a bit of use in that way. The funny thing was after the 914 I bought a chebby "surfer"van with all the carpet and panneling inside but the van almost never got used in that way, certainly not as much as the 914. Go figure

I can't believe you let a woman drive your 914. You've gotta be nuts.

I have never let my girlfriend drive my 914 before, telling her it's too hard to shift and pay attention to all its little quirks.

She was not happy at all when I agreed to let these other girls drive it for a day.

But once they boiled the brakes and blew through a couple stop signs, I don't think she'll ever give me a hard time about it again!
