Upfixin started
Well, after sitting in my garage for 6 months, I've finally started on the repairs for my teener. Reference here for background info:
Introduction Anyway, dropped the engine out, now I'm ready to replace this suspension ear: ![]() I'm just glad I caught it before it let loose in a turn or something. |

Oh, jeez. Someone brazed it up already. You may wind up having to put more brazing on there, or cut the whole dang thing off and weld on new metal!! From what I read, you cannot weld to metal that has been contaminated with brass or brazing flux.

I've read that also about welding brazed areas. My current plan is to purchase a replacement piece and cut out alot of the existing piece.
