putting the pedal cluster back in...

ok.. finally getting around to putting the rebuilt pedal cluster back in... one thing I don't exactly remember is how to hook up the clutch cable.

the cable ends with 2 parallel bars with a hole in the center. I know the little pivot clip slips into those holes with the clutch lever inbetween... but what prevents the pivot clip from slipping out?

thanks,
robert.

The pin slips in the holes of the clutch cable end and the clutch lever. The clip end of it slips back over the end of the clutch cable. Put it in so the clip goes over the clutch cable end. Gravity will help hold it in place.

There should be a clip that slides onto the end there. Check item #10 in the following diagram:

I will upload a close-up so you can see it (a little bit) better.

put a plastic clamp strip around #10. they can be prone to pop[ing off at the worst time.
