does anyone know how Pelican's name started.

When I called into the order desk once I asked the same question. I was told while sitting at the beach a pelican flew by and alas a name. Thats what the man told me anyway.

Wayne once told me it had to do with him sitting somewhere in Manhattan Beach, a pelican flew overhead (M.B. is somewhat known for them) I guess they took it as a sign form the Porsche gods.

I spent alot of time laying around Manhattan Beach, I used to live in Redondo, on Artesia, and Ringe... hour to Schoolywood on the bus, yuck.

I grew up in El Segundo til I was about 8. Nothing like peeling tar off your feet after going to the beach and visible air....
