carpet
I got a carpet kit a couple weeks ago and put it all in, except these two rectangular pieces that are rounded on the ends. I was wondering where they went. I still have the old carpet that came out and there's the same ones in that, but I haven't had carpet in there in over 9 months...

I believe they go behind the seats. If I'm right, just move the seats all the way forward to replace.

I had the same question about the carpet set I just bought. I found this photo on the AA web site that helped with the layout.

Yes, behind the seats. One of them is a little different and that is to accomodate the parking brake cable.

you know, i have the same problem - my carpet kit has about 12 pieces - my 914 is not that big. I've been meaning to find a picture or diagram... thanks for the pic.
btw, i bought my kit from world upholstery(~250) along with the seat kit(~250) a couple of years ago.

I bought my set off eBay from that 'Amity' seller. It was about $100 for everything, and it was on my doorstep about 2 days after I placed the bid. Quality and appearance are fine.

Joe bought that same kit but he said it looks like the guy made it at home himself. Other than that he said you get what you pay for.

is that the guy in portland? It sounds like it. I bought mine from him too. It's nothing special, but it's still new carpet for a good price.
