Question Engine lid mounting

I'm having trouble understanding how the engine lid mounts. I've got L-shaped brackets on the firewall, and brackets on the lid. Does the lid bracket go underneath the firewall bracket and get held in place by bolt? Is there a diagram or picture somewhere I can access? Also, has anyone come up with an alternate method of mounting that would allow a simpler, faster removal to get the engine lid off and out of the way for engine work?

The lid bracket goes on the botton of the bracket attached to the firewall. I cut mine to allow easy on/off. It works great for me.

CATKW, you've got the order right. Top-to-bottom, it's firewall bracket, lid bracket, washer, bolt.
