Pelican does not offer a seal kit, we sell individual seals. We also do not offer non-OEM, as we have found that many aftermarket seals are... umm... lacking in the quality we would expect.

As to the exact seals they are offering? No idea. It doesn't help that they don't tell you which ones are new OEM, which are new repro, which are "new never offered by Porsche", and so on.

Before I was in the know I bought a couple of seals from the other guys. No matter how much heating and streching I still could not make up for that 1 inch gap, they were not the quality of the ones I received from our host. Thats my 8 cents worth... why 8 cents, I have no idea. That just felt like 8 cents.

I like the little "sold as is", don't they stand behind what they sell. If there products are so great they would have to sell them on evil-bay. Stay well away from them good old boys. Just my 9 cents.

They originally were offering those kits for $149. I came close to pulling the trigger twice. I'm glad I didn't. I'm sure it would have been poo.

I actually talked to someone who bought this kit from them, he told me that half of the stuff was used, I would assume that the OEM parts are all used.

It is an unfortunate factoid that AA's main supplier for rubber seals is Morton-Thiokol.

Just kidding, but on the square.

Please dont consider. The reason why they are on e-bay is because they have no other way of paying the bills. They dont stand behind what they sell. Thats why they are desperate for $$. Take it from the ones who have been screwed... I'm lucky, I live 20 minutes from that place. They tried to sell me crap when I went to pick up "new" parts, which turned out to be used and in worse condition than the parts I was replacing... AT the premium new price. NO.NO.NO.NO.NO. You will thank us later.. Keep looking for other alternatives.

An AA Statistic,

Barry

They all were for several years. The manufacturer made a batch that had miserable quality. Just awful--it would split near the corners, where the pieces join together.

Happily, there is a new batch available now. They do not, I am told, split.
