914 help
OK I'll play the new guy.Wont be hard cause I am. I'm looking for great websites and contacts for 914 questions. I found pelican parts after AA abuse and I love the board and service. Any other sites would be great. I currently have a 75 914 2.0. I want to start autocrossing and am looking for setup info, parts suppliers. I figure theres sombody out there with the keys to some great 914 sites. Thanx in advance.

YOU FOUND IT !
To bad about AA.... This is a great site you can ask all types of questions here. Some great people and advice on this board. Another place is Also look at the additional links from Pelican to other sites. Pelican also provides many Technical articles. Pelican is a top notch Parts and Service provider It also provides personal Web space so check out some of the member 914 sites Good Luck Joe A. |

Other good sites:
http://www.dgi/net/914 The 914 Club's homepage. Lots of good info all over the place. The Forum is really big. The Want Ads ditto. http://www.914fan.net The 914 Fan Page, which used to be Tim's 914 Fan Page, is one of the oldest automotive enthusiast websites. A small-ish collection of really good tech articles, plus a small forum and LOTS of photos. Those two, here, and the Rennlist 914 mailing list are my favorite 914 places on-line. --DD |

On the book marks, do the following from the Netscape browser,
1)Under Bookmarks tab, click "Edit Bookmarks" 2)Under file tab, click "Save As" and save your bookmarks somewhere like the desktop, as bookmarks.html 3) Double click on this newly created file to open it up. 4) After it opens under Netscape, under the View tab, click "View Page Source" 5) Use mouse to select the links you want as a big group... including all the control characters you don't want also. 6)Paste into Microsoft Word or similar program. 7)Use the Replace command to find multiple copies of the junk you don't want and replace it with Nothing.. i.e. eliminate it. 8)Keep editing till you have it paired down to what you want. 9) Cut and past into this thread to share with the rest of us. If anyone knows an easier way, let me know, I would like to get other people's links too so I can add them to my own bookmarks. I also have some Welding links if anyone is interested. Please send in those good Porsche and general auto links! - Dave |

I am running netscape 4.5 on NT 4.0
I use the file bookmark. Click on the link you want and file in whatever folder you have created for your many porsche links. |
