Engine rotation direction
So I monkeying around with short block on the engine stand and trying to remember which way the engine rotates....
I'm thinking that if you're standing facing the flywheel end of the engine (back of the car if the engine was installed) the engine would turn counter clockwise. Is that right? TIA, Kevin |

I believe so. Look at the fan blades. There is a convex side and a concave side to them. The blades should "scoop" the air with the concave side.

Looking at the flywheel, the engine does turn counter-clockwise during normal operation...

Easier to remember if engine is in car (maybe adjusting valves). Clockwise if facing the fan!
