Post Broken Bleader Valve

Well here's another one. A while back I had a leaky rubber break hose, I didn't have the time to fix it so I had a shop do it (only time I have taken the 914 to a shop).
I also had a leaky Right Rear Caliper. I let the Caliper go Until it absolutely needed repair (was going to replace it). Long story short I ran out of break fluid when at the McDonalds for the rear breaks. I did end up fixing the leaky caliper last week though (found it was coming from the adjuster screw, took about 15 min to fix).

When I was then bleeding all of my breaks I got to the last one, Left Rear, and guess what? The bleeder valve was broken off! I assumed when I took it to the shop for the broken line they would have bleed all of my breaks (this was a few months back). So they either didn't do the Left Rear and didn't tell me about it being broken, Or they did do the Left Rear and broke the freaking bleeder valve off!

SO here is the dilemma: I tried fixing this (have air in the breaks, they need to be bleed) by using an Not-so Easy-out. The bloody Easy-out broke off in the bleeder valve! Any one got any tips to getting the broken Valve/Easy-out out?

The cars breaks are still acceptable, just not as good as I want them to be, I can still lock the front breaks at 30 mph(stock breaks) with out pumping, but the pedal is further down then I want, and I think having perfect breaks is a MUST, especially if you enjoy driving these 914's they way I do (fast).

Kevin: Four ways: Try to pry out the piece of the broken "easy-out". Use a carbide bit on a die grinder to remove the "easy-out". Zap the "easy-out" for one second with a quality plasma cutter at about 35 or 40 amp setting. or remove the caliper and have a shop with an EDM machine take it all out! Then drill out the bleeder with a left hand drill bit and install a new valve! Any time you are working with the bleeder valves ALWAYS remove them, clean and reinstall with anti-seize compound! If all else fails... replace the unit! Good luck.. Ed Atkinson

Maybe Ill just replace the caliper with one of the extras I have in the garage... Fix this little problem later.
