More Video... 'Escape from Stockholm' style.
YouTube - Picture 025.avi You'll need to flip your laptop around for this one. YouTube - Picture 024.avi A couple of teething problems that need to be fixed: -The front suspension is way too soft, as the amount of downforce generated past 100mph literally shoves the fron end into the pavement... you can hear the scraping in one of the videos. Front coilovers are next (they are already on the rear) -The plexiglass front windshield needs to be reinforced with a stay, as it starts to buckle severely at anything past 80-90... as noted in the vids with the hand! -The rear hood lid is going to need to be fitted with pins, as the cut-outs for the 908-style velocity stack set-up compromised the torsion rigidity. It starts flapping at speed. -Am warming up to the 901, but at speed, the vagueness of the box is unacceptable. A spare 915 with LSD and Wevo tail shift kit are going in at the first opportunity. -Earplugs in the glove box Hope you guys enjoyed the vids. This car is awesome. More stuff to come as the refinement continues. Hope to have her track worthy by next summer:) |
Congrats. What a rush.
Are you running without air filters? |
I am running a sheet of UNI filter foam sandwiched between the velocity stack lip plate and the 908 inlet covers.
I buy the thin 'fine' foam sheets here Uni Filter UNI FILTER, FOAM SHEET BLACK FINE FILTER FOAM 60 PPI BF-4 and simply cut to the oval size that i need. Works great while allowing the 'open' 908 stack cover look. |
hello how much for the front end?
