Gabe now you are making me think that your other worldly 930 does not actually exist...its just a rusty black 75 roller that you photoshopped :-)

Reaper930 07-21-2009 07:37 AM

Hahaha - good one :) noo she's TOO real :) just ask the bat that's plastered on the front (I HAVE WITNESSES!!!!!!!!!!) HAHAHA :)

Although I do take that as a compliment to my crude skills at photoshop :)

Damn Gabe!!!! That looks awesome!!! Thanks for taking the time. You even put the louvers in there too, bastard! Now i friggin gotta do it.

I was pretty set on the Martini graphics, but the 'Doppler effect' in red looks killer. Goes with the 'Silver/Red' theme that seems to be going on.

The great thing about the vinyl graphics, is that i can go with one for a while, then switch over to the other design later.

Sorry to say but I agree the louvers really break up the front end nicely... Maybe get some airbrushed onto there, like grad cars with airbrushed headlights etc! less $$ Good from a far but far from good!

Hey Dach, hope ur doing ok. been a long time since we spoke, but have been busy with projects, etc. No, don't deal with Tom Bailey at all (That's the guy at 'Motioneering, right?), but have a shop over near German Speed and off 421. I'll give u a shout this week about getting together at your shop to see ur work and maybe a speed run, beer after.

At lot of you guys have asked for more build photo's, detailing wheel work, etc. Here are some of the pix i took as we worked; sorry not organized, but you can see the progress as u flip through. The middle pages are the early build, last pages are of shaping the front, and the first pages of the mold making. Enjoy and feel free to email or pm me with questions.SmileWavy

yeah man doin' well. I've just been tinkering around the house trying to finish up little projects that never got done when I did my home addition. Now I'm thinking about a 14 or 24T as a project and your post caught my eye.

I'm usually somewhat free during the week, give me a buzz, we can "do lunch" compare notes and plan for a big drive w/e.

Cleaned up after first wash and side shot. Chopping the roofline of the 914 really gives her a cleaner look, IMO.

Wow I just feel plain lazy now that I can't get my projects done. Nice work!

Justin those Martini stripes will really work well on the car.

Ha! I can say that I have driven this car. Loud, fast, raw! Perfect.

Love those wheels and the work required to cover them. There are some fantastic details related to the cage, tranny cradle, etc that really make the car.

I know the vids are coming, but I have to say, I'm still soaking in my complete sensory overload from a killer Sunday Drive in this car! You may have heard megaphones and webers and yes they sound great in vintage 911's and 914 -6's, but when you look over your shoulder and there sits a screaming flat 6 doing everything it does best! It is PURE NIRVANA! theres nothing removed from the pureness and purpose of this car! the fan singing to you, the intakes screaming at you, and the megaphones putting the soundtrack all together! I can't think of a better way to start off a sunday morning, or to lose some of my hearing! My face is still hurting from the biggest **** eating grin I had all day!
thanks bro!

Pete, GREAT weekend bro. We had the best of both worlds, tearing up the backroads on the Ducati and Guzzi on Saturday and doing some high-speed shakedown of the P908/3 on Sunday. A couple of top speed passes in the Turbo would have made the weekend complete, but that will have to wait until next time.:D

Well guys, Pete and I took the P908/3 out for some thorough high speed testing this past weekend.... as Pete described, this car is the COMPLETE old-skool Porsche experience. Straight megaphone exhaust. Check. Non-padded bucket seats. Check. Open top. Check. Obscenely wide slicks. Check. Vertical fan wailing away inches from you. Priceless. This car is everything i had hoped it would be and more. THIS is how Vic, Pedro, Hermann and all the boyz used to roll back in the day.

Nirvana....
