Question SubDub?

My new project is a 67 Beetle with a mid-engine 94 Subaru Legacy Engine Twin Turbo 2.0L Dohc EJ20! Hooked to a Suby transaxle? Has any one in your group done this kind of swap?? If so what 2WD Subaru Transaxle would work with this motor? I have cut a 68 pan just behind the front seats and i'm building a custom rear frame to hold the engine and trans with ladder bars and coil over shocks! I'm also adding an 8 point roll cage!

Also does anyone have a wiring diagram for a Suby/Beetle swap?

Thanks,

There are many successfull Sube conversions on 914 World and 914 Club. I think to middy a Beetle, it will require essentially the same conversion parts as a 914, the fun will be deciding how to hang the motor/transaxle.

Also check the "conversion perversions" forum on http://www.shoptalkforums.com . They may have ideas for a Bug...

I predict a whole lot of welding in your future, should you decide to try this. It may wind up being a tube-frame car with Beetle body parts bolted to it...
