914 FI Help
Hello, I wonder if anyone has some information for me. 1973 1.7 914, runs good, but super rich. I dont have any information on this fuel injection system and trying to trouble shoot. I need fuel pressure specs( pressure and volume) and maybe voltage/resistance values for the temp sensor. I have verified that the cold start is not leaking, and checked that the fuel injectors are functional, and not leaking . I get steady 35 psi, on the fuel guage, but as soon as the relay is ungrounded, fuel pressure rapidly drops to 0. I would think that this system should hold residual pressure for at least a couple of minutes. I was digging all through all of my old manuals and stuff etc..but could only find specs on the AFC System. Ths one must be a little different in that it does not use the air flow meter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch .
Fred

Fuel pressure should be 29 PSI, 35 will make your engine run rich.
Head temp sensor should have a very low resistance (<100 ohms) when the engine is warmed up. Just about everything currently known about D-jet EFI can be found at: http://members.rennlist.com/pbanders --DD
