Pulled both heads on my 1.7, on one the head studs came out with the nut, and no way will it come loose. I have soaked in PB blaster for over a day ( head upside down and nut/stud in a jar of PB).
What is the prefered way to get the *** nut off? Heat? Cut the nut off part way with a dremel and split? or what? Any advice appreciated... TIA neil

Heat is a very good thing to try. You'll need to set up the stud in a soft-jawed vise to keep it from turning, of course. Some tapping on the nut can help penetrating oil soak in, but heat is probably the way to go.
