Charcoal cannister
Could someone please post a pic(s) of the cannister and strap on a '74 (1.8). My recently purchased car has some sort of a homemade bracket, and I can't remember how the correct strap fits. Thanks!

Is the L-jet one the same as the D-jet uses? I suspect it is.

The early 74s had the charcoal cannister as pictured in that thread. The later 74s had the cannister hanging off of the engine bay, like the 75-76 cars did. I don't have a picture handy, sorry!

The alternative would be to simply remove the canister, no?

That is the exact same cannister they used in fuel injected super beetles. If you eliminate the charcoal can, you need to seal the system up.
Fuch me I wish my car looked that good
