Need a reverse switch (bad Verbiage)
Hi.
I am not too what it is called or where to find the item on pelican parts. But I am looking the the switch that turns on the reverse lights when you engage reverse. I check the bulbs and they are good so I am assuming it is this little part. Anyone know the part number or location? Thanks for the help. Tim.

Yes, it is easy. The old one unscrews, and the new one screws in.
Your problem might not be the switch itself; it could be the plunger that activates the switch. It's basically a small metal rod that pokes into the transmission guts and is pushed outward when reverse is selected. The plunger can wear down shorter, to the point where it won't close the switch. You cold also have a wiring problem. Hopefully you have already checked the wiring. --DD

Have not offiically checked the wiring yet.
Going under the car this weekend and will look at the assembly & stuff then go from there. Has been fun backing up with no reverse lights.... People weave around you when you do have lights and without... You really have to plan it out.

The plungers are still available new and I think Porsche has them. I got mine from HPH in Redwood City. Jeff is close to you and you could probably pick the switch up from him, but you would be wise to install the new $7 plunger as well. I recently replaced mine and its an easy job. My switch worked, but it too long of a throw to activate it even with a new plunger.
