Another electrical problem
I got up early this morning to take my 914 to a PCA Time Trial. When I got into the car it sounded like the fuel pump was running even though I hadn't even put the key in the ignition yet. I could also hear something running in the engine compartment. Possibly something in the fuel injection system. I pulled the relays for the power supply to the fuel injection and the fuel pump off and back on and it didn't stop the noise from either place. The battery was dead and needed charging because everything ran all night long and drained the battery so I had to put a charger on it before I could even test anything. It rained all night long and the engine compartment was a little bit wet.
Needless to say, I missed the time trial at Texas Motorsports Ranch. What is going on with my car? |

heater fan left on???? if you pulled the fuel pump relay, unless the relay bord is shorted out internally (not very likely either) then the pump should not be able to run (assuming stock wiring)
